Hi, I’m Rebecca Bell
Founder | Movement Specialist | Lifestyle Coach | Master Teacher
I've spent more than 35 years in the wellness and movement field, and more than two decades building Mindful Movements into the pilates studio it is today.
But when I think about why I continue to do this work, it's not the number of years or certifications that come to mind first.
It’s the client who tells me they can finally get up from the floor without thinking about it. The person who feels confident hiking again. The person who realizes they are stronger than they thought they were. The client who walks through the door unsure of what their body can do—and gradually learns to trust it again.
These moments are why I love what I do.
My own education has always been driven by curiosity - how to make movement better and appeal to everyone. I continue to study how the body moves, adapts, and changes throughout life, with training that includes Pilates through PhysicalMind® Institute and Polestar® Pilates, MELT Method, TRX, barre, post-rehabilitation/neuromuscular education, menopause lifestyle coaching, and a certificate in Pathokinesiology. In 2025 I partnered with EYT Pilates Teacher Training and became a Master Teacher and Assessor.
But education is only part of the story.
Over decades of teaching, I've learned that there is no perfect exercise—and there is no one-size-fits-all body, and the best approach is the one that considers the individual in front of me.
My goal is simple:
To help you move with greater strength, awareness, confidence, and ease—so you can continue doing the things that make your life yours.
Outside the studio, I'm a mom of two girls, and a grandmother of five. I love staying active in my own life. You'll find me hiking, cycling, reading, and, of course, doing Pilates.
I believe strongly in practicing what I teach. Movement isn't something I simply teach for a living—it's part of how I live my life and how I want to continue living it for many years to come.
About Our Approach
Movement is personal.
We don't believe you should have to fit your body into a program.
Instead, we believe the program should adapt to you.
Your history, your goals, your abilities, your concerns, and the life you want to live all matter.
That's why Mindful Movements is intentionally personal. We keep our cases intentionally small so you are seen, heard and taught to the individual. Our small-group and private sessions allow us to pay attention to the details—how you move, where you compensate, what feels good, what needs modification, and when you're ready for a new challenge.
We use many tools, but the approach is always the same.
Pilates and Reformer Pilates may be the foundation, but we don't limit ourselves to one method.
Depending on what you need, we may incorporate Tower, TRX, MELT Method, barre, rebounding, mobility work, balance training, and other movement techniques.
The goal is to choose the right tools for you.
We believe exercise should be challenging without being intimidating, effective without being complicated, and adaptable to the body you have today.
We want you to understand your body.
Because the more you understand how you move, the more confident you become in making movement part of your everyday life.

Mike Stone
Mike is a walking example of the power of Pilates. After 25 years of consistent chiropractic care, Mike was introduced to Mindful Movements and has remained a client for over ten years. At the suggestion of Rebecca, Mike has become a trained instructor in Pilates, Spin, and TRX. His philosophy of fitness is best expressed in the form of a question: do you want to recapture what you were able to do in the past or prepare for what you want to do in the future? Mike's greatest joy is introducing individuals to a new way of understand how own bodies are designed to function in everyday life. In addition to fitness, Mike enjoys golf and playing music.
Annalise Highly
Annalise Harrison-Highley is graduate from University of Michigan in Psychology. Prior to her work in psychology, Annalise studied Kinesiology at Hillsdale College and served as a student athletic trainer in the Sport Science department. She is a passionate and competitive dancer, choreographic artist, and teach dance throughout the Midwest. Annalise started her Pilates journey after a rib and shoulder injury left her with chronic pain at the age of 18. After many years of being a private practitioner of Pilates and personalized biomechanics, she found her Pilates home at MindfulMovements and has been a student under Rebecca Bell since 2022. My favorite part about being an instructor is watching people learn about their own bodies, and find longitudinal freedom in a health mind-body connection. My goal is to have each client wake away having experienced a level of reflectiveness and connection with themselves and their bodies in a pain free and healing environment.
